SYNOPSIS: This documentary will explore the Canadian textile world from the point-of-view of some of Canada’s most notable Italian designers, who immigrated to Canada during the 1950’s and 60’s in search of new opportunities. Now, well into retirement age, with successful foundations established, their children are not interested in following in the family business, forcing them to consider selling their empires to foreign business leaders.

This documentary will delve into the private world of 3 of Canada’s most successful textile business leaders; denim mogul Salvatore Parasuco, internationally renowned shirt maker, Carmine Lauro, and suit maker, Denis Limosani of Bosco Uomo. Through in-depth interviews, viewers will get a rare opportunity to learn more about their challenges, hardships and successes and how these creative pioneers are preserving their legacies under the ongoing threat of globalization.
